Yoga and 30-Day Challenge

I started practicing yoga in May 2010.

I go to a place that offers “hot yoga”, however, this is not Bikram’s hot yoga.  The class is one hour, practiced in the same heat (40°C) and very similar to Bikram’s, with a series that starts with prana breathing, balancing series, standing series, spine series, seated stretching, and then savasana.

In August 2010 I decided to do a 30-day hot yoga challenge.  My challenge would consist of going to yoga every day for 30 days in a row.  You can read about it here:

Here’s my Day 30 wrap up description and final weight and inch results from the challenge.

And here are my final thoughts after finishing the challenge.

  1. Are you excited? What do you expect to get from it?

I’ve never done it but always admire folks who do. I’m on a roll this week, though–at least 5 classes/week until the end of summer!

  2. I’m excited to get back to yoga after my little holiday. As for being excited about the challenge…..I’m a little scared! I went three days in a row the other week and I was dying. But I’m up for the challenge and going to do the best I can!

Five classes/week is AWESOME! good for you!
