Well, I have decided to revamp absolutely everything I am doing.
First of all, let’s talk breakfast. I have been having the same breakfast for years. Yes, years (that’s not a typo). Usually a piece of toast, 1 egg, 1/4 c. egg whites, and either cheese/guacamole/hot sauce/salsa or all of them.
I don’t know why, but I’m really off eggs lately. I feel sad just typing that. I enjoy my love for eggs. But I digress, eggs be gone (at least until I’m not grossed out by them anymore).
Enter new breakfast – Tone it Up Protein Pancake or Protein Pudding Oats
Heather from For the Love of Kale has actually completely changed my life. At first I thought she was one of those green smoothie/10 K run annoying health food bloggers I can’t stand.
But as I read more and more, I became intrigued, and actually fell in love with her a little.
She is positive like ALL the time (but not in an annoying way, in an inspiring way cause you can tell she really is just this type of person), very thorough and detailed (i.e., gives links/pictures for everything, details everything we need to know… a girl after my own OCD heart), doesn’t try to copy any other blogs, and you can just tell she’s happy doing her own healthy thing.
Anyway, like I said, she pretty much changed my life, diet wise, and probably positive life stuff wise too.
I’m going to yoga 5 times weekly now too, which is great, although sometimes I want to punch my yoga studio for being SO SNOBBY and PRETENTIOUS. Seriously, it’s like every snobby, stick thin, pretentious, tousled-bun-on-top-of-head-with-Lululemon-outfit-head-to-toe has a membership to this studio. I try to ignore it, but sometimes it just gets to me.
Enter new lunch – Lightly steamed kale with teensy bit of miso gravy just to coat, raw broccoli, beets, cherry tomatoes, raw vegan almond flaxseed burgers from Thrive Diet, and a huge dollop of hummus instead of dressing (thanks again to Heather for this idea!).
Enter new dinner – Lightly steamed kale with teensy bit of miso gravy just to coat (yes, again, I love kale), a few Daiya shreds, sweet potato fries and veggie burger.
I’m feeling really good doing this stuff, and along with that I’m really trying to focus on self-love, positive mantras, the law of attraction and basically trying to move my life in a more positive direction.
I hope I can come back to this blog soon and tell you how GOOD things are going and that finally something I’m doing is making a difference!

Hey there sweet girl! Wow. Where do I even begin? Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for your kind words. They mean so much to me. I’m ecstatic to see that you’re enjoying your protein pudding oats and kale (!!!) every day. I know that you’re going to feel so energized and satisfied from the inside out. Those THRIVE burgers are heavenly and, well, hummus kind of speaks for itself.
I’m keeping you in my thoughts on your kick ass journey! xoxo
